Litokol Aquamaster EVO is a ready-to-use, reinforced water-based liquid membrane for waterproofing wet areas indoors and outdoors. No reinforcement fabric or sealing tape is required, not even in corners and along edges. This version is the 10 kg bucket.
Product & Application
Aquamaster EVO falls into class DM 02 P according to UNI EN 14891 and is chlorine resistant, making it suitable for swimming pools.
Light grey, as thick as yoghurt, and you roll it out like paint. It disappears under the tiles, and that's exactly what you want – the work no one ever sees but that holds everything together.
- Bathrooms, showers and other wet rooms indoors
- Swimming pools and water basins
- Terraces and balconies
- Floor and wall, indoors and outdoors
- On non-absorbent surfaces, including existing tiling
Note the limit: Never leave the membrane uncovered: there should always be a ceramic or natural stone finish over it.
Substrate & Compatibility
The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, and free of loose parts.
- Cement screeds and leveling layers
- Concrete and cement-bound plasterwork
- Existing ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware
- Lightweight building boards with cement-bound finish layer
- Underfloor heating
If you are unsure whether a specific substrate is suitable, first create a test piece. The number of types of substrates and tiles is too large to rule out everything in advance.
Application
The product is ready-to-use and does not need to be mixed. Apply it with a roller, brush, or smooth steel trowel.
- Apply between +5 °C and +35 °C
- First layer diluted with 10% water: wait 30 minutes
- Between undiluted layers: wait 4 hours
- Lay tiles after 24 hours
- Total dry layer thickness 0.8 to 1 mm
Clean tools with water as long as the product is fresh; once cured, it can only be done mechanically.
