Litokol Aquamaster EVO is a ready-to-use, reinforced water-based liquid membrane for waterproofing wet areas indoors and outdoors. It does not require reinforcing mesh or sealing tape, not even in corners and along edges.
Product & application
Aquamaster EVO falls under class DM 02 P according to UNI EN 14891 and is resistant to chlorine, making it suitable for swimming pools.
Light grey, as thick as yoghurt, and you roll it out like paint. It disappears under the tiles, and that's exactly what you want — the work nobody ever sees but that holds everything together.
- Bathrooms, showers and other wet areas indoors
- Swimming pools and water basins
- Terraces and balconies
- Floor and wall, indoors and outdoors
- Over non-absorbent substrates, including existing tiling
Note the limit: Never leave the membrane uncovered: it should always be covered with ceramic or natural stone finishing.
Substrate & compatibility
The substrate must be load-bearing, clean, and free of loose parts.
- Cement screeds and leveling layers
- Concrete and cement-based plasterwork
- Existing ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware
- Lightweight building boards with cement-bound finishing layer
- Underfloor heating
If you are unsure whether a specific substrate is suitable, first create a test piece. The number of types of substrates and tiles is too great to rule out everything beforehand.
Application
The product is ready to use and does not need to be mixed. Apply it with a roller, brush, or smooth steel trowel.
- Process between +5 °C and +35 °C
- First layer diluted with 10% water: wait 30 minutes
- Between undiluted layers: wait 4 hours
- Lay tiles after 24 hours
- Total dry layer thickness 0.8 to 1 mm
Clean tools with water as long as the product is fresh; once cured, it can only be removed mechanically.
